Last week Team Community Care Kitchen won the Zest Community Impact Grant 2024, hosted by the @westernsydneycommunityforum . It was an honour for us to receive this grant and be acknowledged for our contributions to our community. Team CCK are heavily involved in many different aspects of community, most recently, helping refugees from Gaza resettle in Australia.
We were also nominated for our work on Missing People campaigns in Arabic and other languages. This is a very special campaign close to our hearts, Missing Persons Week is held every August, CCK was the first organisation in Australian history to launch a MP campaign in languages that were not English. Please support our MP campaign this August.
CCK were also nominated for our collaborative work with @thestillnest.au , another proect extremely close to our hearts. Still Nest provides much needed resources and support that is culturally appropriate for bereaved parents in our community who have lost a child(ren). Fatima Asads tireless work should be acknowledged and celebrated, a phenomenal woman in our community we are proud to work beside.
For many people, its hard to guage the work CCK does because we are spread across a vast amount of social issues, with food insecurity being at the top. We are a diverse group of women tackling issues important to our community head on and all while being 0% admin and 0% wages. Please continue to support us and our important work throughout the community.
